Chicago, Ill. – Roosevelt University Head Men's Soccer Coach Graham Brennan added a prolific playmaker to his 2012 roster on Tuesday, announcing the signing of St. Joseph High School standout Ruben Estrada.

Estrada was a two-time All-Chicago Catholic League Blue honoree, while also garnering All-Area and All-Sectional accolades during his prep tenure. The midfielder racked up 28 goals and 12 assists for the Chargers as a junior and posted double digit goal and assist totals, again, during his senior campaign in which he led his side to a 13-6-4 ledger.

"Ruben is a very talented attacking midfielder," said Brennan. "He has the ability to score from long range and can open up the opponent's defense with his intelligent passing skills.  Ruben has gained valuable experience playing at St. Joseph High School and his club soccer at F.C. Drive."

Estrada will join a Lakers squad that will make its 2012 debut on August 23 versus Arizona Christian at 7:00 p.m. at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill.
