Chicago, Ill. - The Roosevelt University women's soccer program recently signed two student-athletes for its inaugural 2012 season as Isabel Salazar from Chicago and Quin Wessels from Lake Geneva, Wis., both signed letters of intent to join the Lakers.

"With the 2012 season just around the corner Isabel and Quin are both stellar additions to the 2012 recruiting class," Roosevelt Head Women's Soccer Coach Shaun Kohn said.

Salazar, a recent graduate from Farrugut Career Academy, was a captain for her high school team while playing in the middle of the park. She plans on majoring in Biology.

Wessels, a recent graduate from Badger High School, was a four-year varsity letter winner and a member of the Badger conference champion teams her freshmen and junior year, and Regional Champions her freshmen and senior year.

Wessels has been a member of the Lakers Soccer Club for over 10 years, and was the 2012 girl's recipient of the Lakers Soccer Club scholarship award.

The Roosevelt women's soccer team will make its debut on August 22 at Mount Mercy University.
