NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Roosevelt track teams made a post-conference appearance at the highly-competitive Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College, posting season- and personal-best times in the process.

The meet was estimated to have over 1,200 athletes and about 30 schools entered in the meet to race over two days.

Veteran runners Dan Lim and Troy Harness continued to lead the Lakers on the men's side.

Harness opened the meet for the Lakers in the 1500M run, and he posted a time of 4:29.79 to best his time from the CCAC Championships for a personal record.

Lim posted a 16.79 time in the 110M high hurdles for one of his best times in the event. Lim also ran the 400M hurdles in a time of 1:05.52.

Rookie Edwin Renteria ran the 800M run later on in the meet. He posted a time of 2:04.69, despite almost 100 runners in that event alone.

The highlight of the Lakers' performance at the meet was the squad of Renteria, Kwesi Ayekumi, Harness and Lim competing in the 4x400M relay to close the meet. Renteria ran a split of 51.2, then Ayekumi posted a 53.2 for the longest leg before Harness. Harness posted a 59.3 split and gave it to Lim to close the race for a 60.2 split. The relay finished with a time of 4:45.25, besting the old school record from several years ago in the modern era.

Roosevelt will be at the Gregory Invitational next week to conclude the outdoor season for the Lakers and the final collegiate campaign for both Harness and Lim.
