Mason, an outside hitter, led the Hawks this past season in both kills (262) and digs (132) en route to All-Conference and All-Area Honorable Mention accolades. She played club volleyball for Hawk Attack out of Roselle, Ill.

"I love the environment and what this school stands for," said Mason. "I am excited about the opportunity to play volleyball during the next chapter of my life."

Mason's achievements were not just limited to on the court as she has exceled outside of the playing arena as well, earning high honor roll and Academic All-Conference recognition during her prep tenure.

The Lakers just completed their inaugural season of competition under Fitzgerald and will return to the court in August of 2012.
