Chicago, Ill. - The Roosevelt men's basketball team opens up a stretch of four straight games away from home on Wednesday night with a trip to Indiana to take on Purdue North Central at 7:00 p.m. The Lakers (8-14) are looking for a season-series sweep of the Panthers (5-20) after topping PNC, 75-70, back on Dec. 21 at Attack Athletics.
Roosevelt will conclude the week by heading to the Shannon Center on Chicago's south side to square off with Saint Xavier (17-7) in a CCAC showdown on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Lakers are currently 1-4 in the league, while the Cougars are 3-2. Saint Xavier won the earlier meeting between these two schools this season, overcoming an early deficit for a 10-point triumph over Roosevelt on Jan. 14.
The Lakers will wrap the four-game road trip next week with stops at IU South Bend (Feb. 14) and St. Francis (Ill.) (Feb. 18).
Senior
Paul Tometich continues to lead Roosevelt in scoring this season at 13.7 points per game, while junior
Brandyn Denson paces the squad on the boards, pulling down a CCAC-best 8.7 rebounds per outing. Freshman
Joe Harks has played well of late, totaling 14.7 points per game in his last three outings.
