Chicago, Ill. - Roosevelt University Head Men's Basketball Coach
Joe Griffin announced the latest addition to his 2012 recruiting class on Wednesday as Argo High School point guard Tamone Littlefield signed on to join the Lakers backcourt.
"Tamone is a steady, tough point guard whose best basketball is ahead of him," said Griffin. "He'll provide depth at the point guard position and will create great competition in training and practice. His attitude, however, may be his best attribute, which is something that most great point guards have. We are excited to add Tamone to our growing program."
Littlefield was a three-year varsity starter at Argo and a two-time team captain for the Argonauts. As a senior he earned All-South Suburban Red Conference honors after averaging 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals per game.
"Over the past three years, Tamone Littlefield has been asked to score, defend, distribute, lead and set the tone for us offensively and defensively. Always with a smile, he has done this without fail and hesitation due to his great work-ethic and maturity," said Argo head basketball coach Pat Maietta. "Tamone will be greatly missed at Argo."
The Lakers will open the 2012-13 season on November 3 versus Marygrove.
