Chicago, Ill. - The Roosevelt University women's soccer program recently welcomed three student-athletes for its inaugural 2012 season as Mikaela Dunaisky from Wrenshall, Minn., Rubby Moran from Carpentersville, Ill., and Christine Saucedo from La Grange, Ill., all recently signed letters of intent to join the Lakers. 

"With the addition of these three quality student-athletes our soccer program takes another step forward as we prepare for the 2012 season," Roosevelt Head Women's Soccer Coach Shaun Kohn said.

Dunaisky recently graduated from Cloquet High School, where she was a three-year member of the varsity soccer team and captain her senior year. She was named Best Teammate for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Additional honors include being named to the St. Lukes All-Star Team in 2011 and captain of the St. Lukes All-Star Team.

Dunaisky played her club ball for the Cloquet Strykers for five years and played in the Arrowhead Youth Soccer Association for seven years. Dunaisky was also a standout for the Cloquet High School track and field team. She was named track and field captain in 2012 and won the Spirit Award Cloquet Track and Field in 2012.

A member of the honor roll all four years of high school, Dunaisky was also a member of the Principals Honor List in 2012 and she was the 2012 National Honor Society President, along with being the Senior Class Vice President.

Moran, a recent graduate of Dundee-Crown High School, was a two-year member of the varsity soccer team. She played her club ball with the Renegades F.C. for three years and spent a year with Sports Club United. Moran will be majoring in Criminal Justice.

Saucedo, who recently graduated from Lyons Township High School, played her club ball with the Eclipse Select Soccer Club for two years, the Berwyn Cobras for two years and she spent a year with Chicago Inter Soccer Club. She was a member of teams that won the Back to School Tournament and the NSR Cup.

Academically, Saucedo was a member of the English honor roll.

The Roosevelt women's soccer team will make its debut on August 22 at Mount Mercy University.
