La Crosse, Wis. – Freshman Molly Machometa scored four goals and junior Steph Wisen racked up six assists as host Vitero scored five goals in each half in a 10-0 victory over the Roosevelt women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex.

The loss drops the Lakers to 2-3 on the season, while the V-Hawks improve to 6-1, running their winning streak to three matches.

Viterbo broke into the scoring column quickly, finding the back of the net within the first three minutes of play. Machometa, who assisted on the first goal, notched her own tally just two minutes later to put the V-Hawks in front, 2-0. She would go on to score three more goals in the 23rd, 58th and 76th minute.

Roosevelt took six shots on the day, putting three on goal. Alicia Seachord stopped all three attempts for her first shutout of the year.

The Lakers will be back in action on Sept. 21 when they open their home schedule by hosting Calumet-St. Joseph at Toyota Park at 2:00 p.m.
