Bridgeview, Ill. – A converted penalty kick by Olivet Nazarene sophomore Paddy Hoepp in the fifth minute put the Roosevelt men's soccer team on its heels as the visiting Tigers raced to a 5-0 victory over the Lakers on Tuesday afternoon at Toyota Park.

Sophomore Todd Bevan proved to be a one-man wrecking crew for Olivet Nazarene (5-2-2, 1-0-1), tabbing a hat trick as he built on Hoepp's tally with goals in the 15th, 50th and 53rd minute. Sophomore Robby Gunderson recorded the Tigers' other goal with a 36th-minute rocket from 15 yards out that beat Roosevelt keeper Jose Ortiz.

Olivet Nazarene outshot Roosevelt by a 25-6 margin on Tuesday with freshman Ruben Estrada and sophomore Shawn McCargar putting the lone two shots on frame for the Lakers.

The loss drops Roosevelt to 0-2-0 in the CCAC and 1-5-3 overall this season.

The Lakers will be back in action on Saturday when they travel across town to take on IIT at 7:00 p.m.
