Chicago, Ill. – A pair of goals from IIT senior Lauren Capuano propelled the Scarlet Hawks to a 2-0 victory over the Roosevelt women's soccer team on Saturday night at Stuart Field.

Capuano put IIT (2-7-1, 2-1-0) on the board in the 27th minute on an assist from Whitney Thiesen. She then gave the Scarlet Hawks an insurance goal early in the second half, scoring in the 61st minute.

Roosevelt (2-6-0, 0-3-0) keeper Sydney Self made 10 saves on the night to keep the Lakers in the match. It was the second time in as many matches that Self has recorded double-digit saves. Freshman Mackenzie Money put two shots on frame for the Lakers, who were outshot by IIT, 20-6.
