Bridgeview, Ill. – Robert Morris played the role of homecoming spoiler as the Eagles defeated the Roosevelt women's soccer team by a 10-0 margin on Tuesday afternoon at Toyota Park.

Despite the blustery conditions, Robert Morris (6-5, 3-1) took the wind out of the Lakers' sail early with five goals in the opening 25 minutes, before adding two more tallies later in the half for a 7-0 lead at intermission. Roosevelt (2-7, 0-4), backed by a vocal student turnout in celebration of homecoming week on campus, made several scoring runs in the second stanza, but were unable to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, the Eagles tacked on three more goals in the period.

Karina Munoz and Sami Halter each tallied two goals and an assist for Robert Morris on the day, while Florence Dadson added a goal and two assists. The Eagles outshot Roosevelt, 35-5, with Lakers keeper Sydney Self making nine saves. All three of Roosevelt's shots on frame came in the final 45 minutes.

The Lakers will return to the pitch on Saturday when they host Holy Cross at Toyota Park at 1:00 p.m.
