
The efforts by Siedschlag and Giacalone helped the Lakers edge out Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Calumet College of St. Joseph for 24th place in the 25-team field. Roosevelt finished with 759 points to the Crimson Wave's 760.
For the second straight week, Siedschlag broke her own school record at the 5K distance, finishing in 22:08.83, which was good for 188th place in the field of 271 competitors. Giacalone was not far behind, setting her own personal best in the final meet of here freshman campaign with at time of 22:49.91. The Lakers' top duo was followed by junior Joline Reyes (24:56.68/253), sophomore Amanda Warren (26:13.09/262) and freshman Avery Ash (27:41.74/267).
Fellow CCAC member Olivet Nazarene took first place in the meet, which featured some of the NAIA's top programs. They were followed by Aquinas College and Shawnee State.
