Winnecone, Wis. – Junior Edith Samano sloshed through rain and sloppy course conditions to navigate the 6K course in a time of 28:38.78 to lead the Roosevelt women's cross country team on Saturday morning at the UW Oshkosh Brooks Invitational at Lake Breeze Golf Club.

Samano placed 449^th in a field of 500 competitors. Sophomore Amber Snearl was the Lakers other runner to complete the course, posting a time of 31:30.99.

The Lakers will be back in action next Saturday in their final tune-up prior to the CCAC Championships when they race at the NAIA Great Lakes Invite in Grand Rapids, Mich.
