Whiting, Ind. – The Roosevelt volleyball team concluded the CCSJ Tournament with a 2-2 record after suffering a pair of setbacks to two of the nation's top programs on Saturday. The Lakers started the day by getting swept by #18 IU East 25-17, 25-22, 25-22 and the dropped a five-set heartbreaker to Northwestern Ohio 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 15-13 at the Dennis and Leslie Rittenmeyer Center.
Roosevelt now sits at 19-13 on the season after playing its final non-conference matches of the season. Things do not get any easier for the Lakers when they return to the court as they travel to meet CCAC North Division leader Saint Xavier (22-10, 12-1).
IU East improved its impressive record to 32-2 with its win over Roosevelt, while Northwestern Ohio moved to 27-2 on the year with its victory.
