Chicago, Ill. – The Roosevelt volleyball team was unable to spoil ‘Senior Night' on Tuesday at Saint Xavier as the host Cougars swept the Lakers 25-20, 25-13, 25-20.

CCAC North Division leader Saint Xavier (24-11, 13-1) played inspired volleyball in its final regular season match in the Shannon Center this season with Kelly Knudson leading the way with 15 kills and eight digs. The Cougars were efficient in their attack, posting a .283 attack percentage, while also recording 16 total blocks.

Sophomore Valerie Cutrone paced Roosevelt (19-14, 8-7) with 11 kills, while sophomore Vanessa Owusu added eight kills and two service aces.

The Lakers will return to the court on Friday when they open play in the second of two CCAC Crossover Tournaments by taking on Olivet Nazarene at IU South Bend.
