Joliet, Ill. – The Roosevelt men's soccer team ended its 2012 season on a sour note, dropping a 3-0 decision to St. Francis (Ill.) at ATI Field at Memorial Stadium on a chilly Saturday evening.

The Lakers finish the campaign with a record of 2-13-3, while posting a 1-10-0 ledger in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

he Fighting Saints (4-14-0, 3-8-0) wasted little time scratching the scoreboard as senior Matt Nieciunski found the back of the net just two minutes into the match. He added another goal 23 minutes later to give St. Francis (Ill.) a 2-0 advantage.

The Lakers pushed the pace in the second half, but a failed Roosevelt clearance in their defensive zone allowed the Fighting Saints to deliver the back-breaking blow with Michael Kowal finding the back of the net in the 68th minute.
