Kevin Licht
Head Coach- 2nd Season
Alma Mater: North Central College (B.S., 2004)
Kevin Licht was hired as the first-ever men's and women's cross country coach at Roosevelt University on October 15, 2009 and charged with building a new program from the ground up that enjoyed its inaugural intercollegiate season in 2010-11 at the NAIA level.
The launch of the men's and women's cross country program was part of the revival of intercollegiate athletics at Roosevelt University. Roosevelt has not sponsored athletics since 1989 and has never featured a cross country team for either the men or the women.
Licht brings to the Lakers valuable experience as a coach and as a competitor. Most recently, Licht served as the assistant track and cross country coach at Pomona College in Claremont. Calif. With the Sagehens, he assisted in all areas of the program's operations and aided the squad to a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) cross country championships in 2004 and a 22nd-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships.
No stranger to the Midwest, Licht was a prep standout at Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, Ill, and later enjoyed a decorated career (2000-04) as a member of the nationally-ranked North Central College cross country and track and field team.
Licht has continued his education in the coaching field and is now a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.
